Andrew Ray Glaspie

June 30, 1984 — April 16, 2020

Andrew Ray Glaspie was born June 30, 1984 and entered into eternal light on April 16, 2020. Cremation is planned with private family services to be held at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. He was born in Leoti Kansas to Benton Andrew and Dolores Glaspie. He was the baby of three children. He grew up in Fairview KS and graduated from Sabetha High School in 2002. Shortly after high school he joined the Army National Guard as an MLRS operator. In 2004 he married April Schroeder and in July 2005 their daughter, GracieAnn Marie was born. Immediately after her birth he was deployed for Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. When he returned from Iraq in 2006, he and April divorced and in 2009 he began medical assistant school. While in medical assistant school he met Melissa Giebler. On July 2, 2011 they got married. Once they got married, Andrew became dad to Gavin James and Jayden Muriah. He also shared a very close bond with his nephew, Jacob Allen-Reece, whom he considered one of his kids too. His love for his children was obvious to anyone who knew him. For the last 11 years Andrew worked as a Diesel Mechanic in the Kansas City area. He loved spending time with friends and family. Especially at the lake camping and fishing or going hunting. Anything outdoors was a passion for Andrew, but especially deer and turkey hunting. He also loved riding his motorcycle. If the weather was nice, you could usually find him getting some 2-wheel therapy down some highway or on a lake fishing. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Glaspie, his children, GracieAnn, Gavin and Jayden. His nephew Jacob, sister Tammy and brother Bobby. He is also survived by his mom, Dolores. His father Benton Andrew Glaspie preceded him in death on Aug 3, 2010.
