Boonsom "Som" Gleason (Anudum)

Som Gleason, 69, of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 30, 2017. Visitation will be from 7-8pm Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8pm in the chapel. Som was born on July 5, 1947 in Ubon, Thailand. She relocated to the United States as a young woman. She was very proud to obtain her citizenship in her new home. She took her responsibility very seriously as a citizen and never missed the opportunity vote. She retired from the Ford Motor Company after 20 years of service. She enjoyed muscle cars, gardening, bowling, and the KC Chiefs! 38 years ago she married the love of her life, Richard Gleason. Together they traveled far and wide and enjoyed all that life had to offer. She was blessed with 1 daughter, Angela “Angie” Hodge, whom she was devoted to. She retired from the Ford Motor Company after 20 years of service. Survivors include; husband Richard Gleason; daughter Angie Hodge and her husband Scott; grandchildren Ava Zangara, Zach Hodge, Ashley Hodge; and Ari Drew; many friends and extended family in Thailand.
