Floyd Walter Glebe, 69, Independence, MO passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
Floyd was born August 4, 1944 in Sabetha, KS the son of Benjamin and Annabelle (Sharrah) Glebe. He had worked for Lake City Ammunition and later drove a truck for numerous companies including FFM and retiring in 2008 from Ruan Transportation. Floyd enjoyed volunteering at the VFW Post 1000 where his wife, Diane worked. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, grilling and spending time with family and most of all friends.
Survivors include his loving wife, Diane Glebe of 29 years; daughters, Laura Berg and husband Mike, Julie Twite and husband Aaron; sons, Damon Glebe, and Todd Willoughby and wife Tes; grandchildren, Tia, Rachael, Madison and George; sisters, Dora Bailey, Gwen Nance, Louise Sawyer; brothers, Chris Myers, and Bob Knabe; numerous nieces, nephews and his faithful dog Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Visitation will follow the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
