Florence Golden

Florence Golden, 83, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1915 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050. Florence was born February 9, 1920 in Louisville, NE to James and Effie (Wirth) Masters. Mrs. Golden enjoyed riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle early in their marriage. She loved cooking and baking. Florence was active in church. Mrs. Golden is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ted Golden, of the home, son Rick Golden (Diane) of Independence, MO and daughter Sandy Baldwin (David) of Raymore, MO; grandchildren Julie Whittle, Rachel Westendorf, Michael Golden, Michelle Dickerson; great-grandchildren Brady and Tyler Golden, Dominick Dickerson, Tatum Westendorf; brothers Ed and Norman Masters. She was preceded in death by her sister Hazel Hon and brother Alfred Masters.
