Theodore "Ted� Golden, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2005. Services will be 2 pm Saturday, March 26th at Calvary Baptist Church; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 pm until service time at the Church. Ted was born October 12, 1924 in Kansas City, MO to Roscoe and Charlotte Golden. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Ted was a 47-year member of Calvary Baptist Church, serving faithfully in many capacities. He was a member of the V.F.W., and a former member of the Turner Club. Ted pitched underhand fast pitch softball for several teams up to the age of 59, and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Ted retired from Southwestern Bell after 36 1/2 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Florence in December 2003; brothers, Melvin, Don and Richard Golden; sister, Fleeta Masters. Ted is survived by his son, Rick Golden and wife Diane of Independence, MO; daughter, Sandy Baldwin and husband David of Raymore, MO; grandchildren, Julie Whittle, Rachel Westendorf, Michael Golden, Michelle Dickerson; great grandchildren, Brady and Tyler Golden, Dominick Dickerson, Tatum and Owen Westendorf; twin sisters, Jean Hughes of Kansas City, MO, and Toni Long of Atlanta, GA.
