Virginia Rose Goodnight

Virginia Rose Goodnight, 82 of Independence passed away Thu. Oct 19, 2006. Mrs. Goodnight was born on Sep 7, 1924 to Elias and Harriet (Boelter) Burke in Trenton, MI and had lived in Independence since 1966. She was a loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed traveling, antiques, collecting bears and shopping. Mrs. Goodnight was of the Baptist faith and had been a USO Hostess for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Venton D. Goodnight, DVM of Independence, a daughter, Janice Faris of Lee�s Summit, MO. Three grandchildren, Adib Faris, Raja Faris and Catherine Faris. Also by a great grandson, Ryan Faris. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association, the Salvation Army or the National Federation of the Blind.
