Peggy Louise Goucher, 67 of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Full Gospel Assembly, 10537 E. 6th St., Independence, MO 64053 with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Peggy was born November 24, 1951 in Stevenson, AL to Hershel Evans and Virginia Louise (Miller) and was raised by her mother and step father Wilbur Hochstedler. She moved to Independence at a young age and has been a longtime area resident. She had worked as a caregiver for a number of years. She enjoyed going to garage sales, church work and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was Pentecostal and had attended the Kansas City Temple. Survivors include; her husband, Kenneth Goucher of the home; 2 daughters, Elescia Karney (Daniel) of Blue Springs, MO and Julie Goucher (Tim Toms) of Kansas City, MO; 3 sons, Ronnie Goucher (Deanna) of Grain Valley, MO, Skip Goucher (Christy) of Stover, MO and Josh Goucher (Joy) of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Jewel Woodward and a brother Bennie Evans, both of Alabama; 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
