She met her sweetheart while attending Zion’s League cabinet meetings and later married on April 20, 1956. The next several years found her as a student at Graceland College, a homemaker, a devoted mother to their six children, and loved attending every music and sports event their children were in. Having a deep love for children, she took a job as a school bus driver, and eventually became a corporate driver trainer. She retired after 24 years of service but continued helping Del in their family business. As a lifelong member of her church, she served as a Sunday School teacher, a leader of Zion’s League and Prime Timers, was music/choir director, and played the piano and organ. Among her many passions of life included adoration of her precious grandchildren, a deep devotion for her country which was reflected in her patriotism, and her love for nature. She will always be remembered for her love of family and the selfless way she gave to others. Her legacy lives on in the lives of those whom she touched.
