Charley David Graham, 71, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Charley was born to Kenneth and Ruby Graham on November 1, 1950 in Jackson County, Missouri.
After graduating from Grain Valley High School Charley enlisted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country for several years. Charley was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing in his dart league and spent countless hours building and flying model airplanes with the RC Club. He was known as the “go-to” guy when the neighborhood kids needed help with their bicycles or go carts and enjoyed every minute of it. He was a beloved member of the Elks Lodge for many years and met his companion and best friend, Chari while volunteering there. They’ve spent the past 12 years making memories together. Charley enjoyed nature, spending time at their lake property and tending to his family farm in Arkansas. There they’d spend days taking adventures on the “mule” side by side with dear friends. Charley was a kind man with a witty sense of humor and never met a stranger. His personality was magnetic and he didn’t take his days forgranted. He will be greatly missed.
Charley is survived by his loving companion, Charlotte “Chari” McNamara; son, David Graham (Crystal); daughter, Rachel Dollins (Travis); bonus son, Shawn Michael Taylor; grandchildren, Riley, Allison, Owen, Ireland and Kellen; brothers, John Graham (Darlene) and Larry Graham (Carolyn); sister, Mary Beth Nehus (Racine).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Datha “Elaine” Graham and sister, Connie Graham.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the COPD Foundation in memory of Charley.
