M. Richard Graham, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022. He was 85 years old. A visitation will take place from 1-2pm on Tuesday, February 22nd with a service following at 2pm, both at First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs. Masks are optional and the service will be live-streamed at https://www.bluespringsumc.org/funerals/
Interment with full military honors will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Richard was born on November 9, 1936, in Blue Springs, MO to Marvin and Leta (Holloway) Graham. After graduation from Blue Springs High School in 1955, he attended Drury College in Springfield, MO. In 1960, Richard enlisted in the United States Army, serving 18 months during the Korean Conflict. He served in various capacities within AT&T spanning over 30 years, including Radio-Relay and management.
Richard also actively served within his church communities throughout his life, concluding with service at First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs. He had an interest in motorcycles and taking road trips west, going through Yellowstone or the Grand Canyon. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Bonnie; his son, Rich Graham; his daughter, Mary Graham; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren (1 more on the way); his sister, Beverly; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; by his first wife, LaVerne (Straub) Graham; and his sister, Shirley.
