Jerry Lin Greathouse

Jerry Lin Greathouse, 72 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the chapel. Jerry was born July 10, 1949 in Kansas City, Mo to Lester Lee and Vera Irene (Alford) Greathouse and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked for ATK formerly Lake City Ammunition Plant for 7 years until he retired in 2014. Prior to that he had worked at Stuart Hall Stationary for 28 years. He enjoyed baseball and was a Chicago Cubs fan. He is survived by: his wife of nearly 50 years, Patricia of the home; 3 children, Jerry J. Greathouse of the home, Laura Briley and husband Mark of Grain Valley, MO and Amber Clark and husband Michael of Independence, MO; a brother, Keith Greathouse of North Kansas City, MO; a sister, Leah Carter of Kansas City, MO and 4 grandchildren, Timothy, Jacob, Evelyn and Oliver along with many nieces and nephews.
