Gladys Green

Gladys P. Green, 86 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, January 5, 2014. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Gladys was born February 4, 1926 to Walter and Hazel Curtis. She had worked as a bank teller for a number of years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and spending time with family. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Independence Civic Club. She is survived by; 3 step sons, Bill Green and his wife Cindy of Blue Springs, Larry Green and his wife Nancy and Tim Green and his companion Kevin Bowers all of Independence, MO; 3 grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Green and Teresa Ginnings; a great grandchild, Nichole Ginnings; a nephew Melvin C. Davis of Camdenton, MO and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Green in 2006.
