Lawrence Michael "Larry" Green

Lawrence M. “Larry” Green, 67, Independence, MO passed away June 9, 2014. Services will be at 10 am, Thursday, June 12 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 409 N. Liberty, Independence, MO 64050, followed by committal with Full Military Honors at noon at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be 6- 8 pm, Wed. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence MO 64055. The family requests contributions to VFW Post #1000, 1002 E. US Hwy. 24, Independence, MO 64050. Larry was born May 5, 1947 in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and a member of VFW Post #1000. He worked for twenty years at LaFarge Concrete Co. and most recently worked at 50+ Pharmacy for eleven years. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He the loved outdoors and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, canoeing and mushroom hunting. Larry is survived by daughter Kimberly Green and husband Barry Sparks; son Michael Green, all of Independence, MO; brother Jerry Green and wife Roxie, Atherton, MO and his best friend Eugene Phillips, Independence, MO.
