Mary Green, 78, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, September 23, 2007 at her home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Carson-Speaks Chapel with burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. A visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday evening at the Chapel.
Mary was born July 14, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN to Frank and Charlotte Settle. She enjoyed bird watching, cooking, crocheting afghans for every member of her family, singing, but most importantly, she loved her family. She was a member of the Community of Christ, Eastern Star, and D.A.R..
Mary is survived by three children: Eleanor Marie Green, John David Green, and Charles Elden Green II; three grandchildren: Mary, Chastity, and Ashley; seven great-grandchildren: Dustin, Nicole, Morgan, Frankie, Dakota, Casey, and Joseph; and two sisters: Elizabeth Churchill and Dottie (Kermit) Land. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elden Green in 1991, and her grandson, Charles Elden Green III in 2003.
