William D. "Bill� Green, 79 of Independence, MO passed away Fri. Aug. 5, 2005 at the Medical Lodge East in Kansas City, KS. Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Tue. Aug 9, 2005 at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Monday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO. Contributions are suggested to the Medical Lodge East Activity Fund, 6261 Leavenworth Rd. KCKS 66104. Mr. Green was born on Sep 12, 1925 to Floyd and Dora Green. He had been a Plater for the Bendix Corp. retiring in 1988 after 29 years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown and had formerly been a Deacon and Trustee with Forrest Ave. Baptist Church. Bill was a Navy veteran of WWII and a Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed sports, fishing and being with his family. Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie in 1998. He is survived by his wife Gladys Green of Independence. Three sons, Bill Green & wife Cindy of Blue Springs, Larry Green and wife, Nancy of Independence and Tim Green of Independence. Three grandchildren, Terri Ginnings, Michael Green and Daniel Green. One great granddaughter, Nicole Ginnings. One brother, Floyd Green, Jr of Warsaw, MO and a sister, June Parker of Grain Valley, MO.
