Sybil Griffey

Sybil Griffey, 70, of Independence, MO passed away October 23, 2013. A visitation will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. service on Saturday, October 26, at Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Sybil was born October 5, 1943 in Augusta, Arkansas to William and Jewel (Patterson) Johns. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Griffey; and one brother, William Harold Johns. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Marvin Griffey; two daughters, Leah Bromley and husband Mike of Lee’s Summit, MO, Angela Todd and husband Cheyenne of Independence, MO; four grandchildren, Amanda Todd, Kristin Griffey, Courtney Bromley and Rachel McLanahan; eight great grandchildren; four brothers, Sammy Johns, Kenny Johns and wife Jeri, James Johns and Ricky Johns and wife Sandra; one sister, Kathryn Saluto; as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
