Blanche Griffin

Blanche Irene Griffin, 99 of Independence, MO, passed away Friday. November 2, 2012. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin will lie in state from noon till 3:00 p.m., Monday at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Blanche as born April 7, 1913 in Kansas City, MO to Martin Porter and Maude Mae (Brown) Miller and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Methodist Church. Blanche was married to Claude Griffin who preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include; a daughter, Connie Wagner of Independence, MO; a son, Gary Griffin of Sedalia, MO; 3 grandchildren, a great grandson and a great great grandson.
