Delmer Griffin

Delmer Griffin, 81, Independence, Mo. died May 7, 2005. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Monday at the funeral home. Delmer was born April 26, 1924 in Bakersfield, Ca. He worked for Armco Steel for 33 years and retired in 1986. He enjoyed gardening and trips with his family. Delmer is survived by his wife Agnes M. Griffin, of the home; daughter Paula Kirtley and husband Ray, Boliver, Mo; daughter Margie Rice, Indep., Mo; son Sidney Griffin, Littleton, Co; son Steven Griffin and wife Lisa, Indep., Mo; twin sister Delphia Powell; sister Edna Hannaford; brother John Griffin, sister Maxine Satterfield; sister Ethelene McClendon; brother Ray Griffin; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
