Michael Griffin

Michael Griffin, 47, of Independence, MO passed away December 1, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., with a visitation to follow until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO. Mike was born June 2, 1961 in Columbia, MO to Jerry and Sharon (Wallis) Griffin. He graduated from Graceland College, where he played tennis. Since college, he was active as a coach for community sports in the Independence area. Mike is survived by his father, Jerry Griffin and wife Susan; mother, Sharon Gann and husband Ray; sister, Michele Griffin; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
