Thomas L. "Jack" Griffin

Thomas L. "Jack� Griffin, 81, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Friday, May 28, 2004 at home with his daughters by his side. Services will be 10 am Wednesday, June 2nd at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice, Northland. Jack was retired from Corn Products. At the time of his retirement, he and his wife Ruby resided in Stover, MO. After returning to Sugar Creek, he helped his wife with her cleaning business. Jack enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, camping, gardening and repairing lawn mowers. He had a beautiful voice and played several instruments. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Ruby F. Griffin and son-in-law, Virgil F. Newman. He is survived by his daughters, Jackie S. Newman and Evelyn M. Gardner; grandchildren, Tom Newman, Angie Shelton, Sherry Davis, Jody Firebaugh, Tim Newman, and Deanna Wisdon; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters; one brother, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
