Dorothy Gross

Dorothy Gross, 79, of Sibley, MO passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ 206 W. Old Lexington Rd, Levasy, MO 64066. A service will be 2pm Friday, November 16 at the church. Dorothy was born on April 1, 1939 in Mayview, MO to Clarence and Hulda (Redhage) Dickmeyer. She graduated from Mayview High School in 1957. On August 15, 1964 she married John Carl Gross. Together they raised 4 children. Dorothy and John took family trips to the Missouri State Fair, Silver Dollar City among many other places with their camper. She liked to cook, sew, plant flowers, garden. She was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Levasy, Town and Country Club, a 4H Leader with her kids, and sold Avon for many years. She will be remembered by her daughter Karen Johnson and husband Tracy of Odessa, MO; sons Glen Gross and wife Karen of Buckner, MO, Alan Gross and wife Melanie of Warrensburg, MO, Aaron Gross and wife Jennifer of Lone Jack, MO; brother Melvin Dickmeyer; grandchildren Logan Johnson (Rachel), Lauren Stone (Harrison), Wade Johnson, Wyatt Gross, Carl Gross, Rebecca Gross, Amber Gross, Allison Gross, and Heather Gross; great-grandson Leein Johnson; plus several other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Ebenezer United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
