Richard D. Gross, 64, of Kansas City, MO, passed away June 5, 2017. A visitation will be Thursday June 8th from 6-8pm with a memorial service on Friday, June 9 at 2pm. Both will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. Independence, MO 64055.
Richard was born March 24, 1953, in Chicago, IL to Raymond and Virginia (Denton) Gross.
He graduated from Bloom High School in 1972, in Chicago Heights, IL and married his high school sweetheart, Neila Carpenter on February 25, 1973.
Richard loved working in his yard, traveling (New York City was a favorite!), and eating spaghetti. He worked in the automotive industry and owned his own business of appliance sales. Richard could do it all! He was loving, caring, always there for his family and had a smile that lit up a room. He is and will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Neila; his three sons, Richard Jr. and his wife, Jacky; Aaron and his wife, Ana; and Ryan and his wife Angel; grandchildren, Isaac, Sandra and her fiance Anthony, Ryan, Layla, Natalia, and Olivia; great grandchild, Madeline; sister Linda Galvan; brother, Robin Gross and his wife, Carla; as well as, many cousins, nephews, nieces, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Austin and Hailey; sister, Melody Osborn; brother, Raymond Gross Jr.; half-brother, Elmer Gross; and his brother-in-law, Jose Galvan.
