Alma Lee Grubb, 82, of Independence, MO passed Dec. 29, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the chapel. Lee was born in 1934, to Earl and Ruth (Stonemets) Grubb in Independence, MO. He was employed for over 15 years as a machine operator at Fike Metal Company in Blue Springs, MO and was also a member of the Raytown Eagle’s Club since 1978. Lee loved walking, playing pool, and tinkering in his workshop, but the joys of his life were his girls and their families. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Phyllis Taylor and three brothers, George Grubb, Harold Grubb and Don Grubb. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Frances; daughters Stacy Harris of Independence, Kerri Snedden and husband, Rick of St. Joseph, and Sarah Grubb of Independence, MO; 8 grandchildren, Christopher Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Tyler Harris, Devan Harris, Jacob Harris, DaKerra Holly, Niklaus Snedden, and Malaki Snedden; as well as a great-granddaughter, Aynzliegh Long.
