Robert Paul Guzman, Sr., 81, of Independence, MO, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020. Visitation will be from 6-8pm on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will be at 2pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Robert was born on January 7, 1939 in Kansas City, KS. He proudly served our country as a Marine from 1956 to 1958. Robert worked as a mixer for Lipton Tea/Unilever for 44-years before retiring in 2004. Robert enjoyed going to the movies, dining out, doing yardwork, and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. Robert attended AA Hall, multiple times daily, for 37 years. Robert is survived by his 10 children, Ramon Reynolds, Racardo Reynolds, Robert Guzman Jr., Regina Myers, Brenda Pfeiffer, Johnny Guzman, Cathy Emmons, Eric Guzman, Jacqueline Botts, and Christina George; 30 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; six sisters, Theresa Medellin, Angie Szapocznik, Mary DeMichele, Helen Duran, Connie Rivera, and Ruth Galindo; and nephew, Michael Rodriguez. Robert is preceded in death by parents, Jose and Victoria Rodriguez and father, Joe Guzman; five brothers, Tony Guzman, Joe Guzman, Raymond Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, and Jesus Rodriguez; and a sister, Delores Gonzalez.
