Norma "Jean� Hackett
"We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love and then we return Home�. On March 10th at 7 am, in the early light of a splendid day, knowing Jesus Christ as her savior, Jean Hackett returned home. As she crossed the river into the light, God said, "Welcome my servant-well done!�. Jean lived a life full of God, love and a sense of humor that stayed bright and complete through out all. Jean started her life�s journey on June 22, 1931, to shelter her arrival in that time were her father and mother, Ernest and Bertha (Mom Bird) Bird and the brother she so admired, Frank (Buddy) and big sister, Francis (Sissie) Parker. All of these family members were there to welcome her when she made her transition on Wednesday. In honor of the Spirit based life that Jean lived, She has left behind a large circle of love that has grown and sustained because will be of the endless abundance of Jean�s unconditional love. In the mid-seventies, Jean met and fell in love with her soul mate, Joan Miller. From this union with Jo-Annie, sprang a wealth of love, comfort and grace that cannot be lessened by Jean�s journey home. Also left here to remember and live the love that Jean so clearly modeled are her "favorite� niece Pammy (Gene) Fair of St. Charles, honored nephews Ricky (Alice) Bird of Foristell, and Gary (Jan) Fish of Mt. Vernon. She will be honored as love expressed every day the sun rises by her long term "kid� Mary K. Soetaert of Independence, MO. Jean�s life has been full of many kind companions (Char Reynolds, Don Soetaert, Tina, Trinket, Thunder�.) and sweet relations (cousins, Great nephews and nieces). As an expression of Jean�s desire To protect the innocence children donations are requested to the Andrew Drumm Institute. In the words of our precious Jean, "Believe in God, He is always with us.Death is not so bad, I�ll be in a better place�. Now He Continues to have our beautiful Jean as a number one Angel.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Mar 13, 2004 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery.
