George Harry Hall, 84, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, November 1, 2004. Services will be 10 am Friday, November 5th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Glenwood Park United Methodist Church. George was born December 14, 1919 in Kearney, MO, the tenth of fifteen children to Jesse Franklin and Allene (Groom) Hall. At six months of age, his family moved to Liberty where he lived until he entered the Army in 1939. He was a veteran of WW II in the 59th Coast Artillery stationed on Corregidor, Philippines. He received a medical discharge in 1943 after an ammunition train overturned crushing his leg. In 1946 he married Rosemary Baldus and moved to Independence. George was employed by Gates Rubber Company for 32 years. He was a member of Glenwood Park United Methodsit Church where he served as treasurer for many years. George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John Hall, Clifford Hall, Earl J. Hall, William Hall, Jimmy Hall; sisters, Jean Arnold, Mary Sue Ewing, Lutie Frances Lopshire, Eva Mae McGinley, and Laura Henson. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rosemary (Baldus) Hall; daughters, Mary Hall, Cheryl Ball and husband Danny; grandchildren, Angela Hall, Greg Ball, Denise Park and husband Jason,; great grandchildren, Madilyn Hall, Timberlie Park and Kyla Park; brothers, Price Hall, Robert Hall; sister Eleanor Willett.
