Harold “Wayne” Hall, 84 of Independence, MO passed away, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Centerpoint Medical Center after a long battle with AML Leukemia. He had one brother, Roy T. Hall, Jr., also deceased. He was married to Mary Audrey on November 19, 1951 and celebrated 62 wonderful years. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1951-53. Upon returning from the war, he went to work at Sheffield Steel later becoming Armco Steel. He retired after 42 years in 1993. He loved his home life and working on vintage Lincoln cars. He had a knack of being able to fix anything and never met a person he didn’t like without just cause. He is survived by his loving wife and two daughters, Cheryl A. Stillwell and husband Al and Cynthia L. Hall and his furry friend Fergie, all of Independence. He had extended family from Lawson, Branson, Southern MO and Germantown, TN, also a lifelong friend, Tom Whiteman, whom he has been friends with since childhood. He was a loving husband and father and will be sorely missed by family and friends alike. He was tireless in everything he did. When asked about when he would rest-he said- “I have eternity to rest.” Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Carson-Speaks Chapel (816) 252-7900)
