Linda J. Hall, age 75, passed away peacefully Friday November 5th, 2021, after a short illness, with family by her side. Linda was born to Charles and Maud Crank on October 17th, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas the youngest of six siblings. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1964 and later moved to Independence, Missouri where she lived out the remainder of her full and busy life.
Linda dedicated her life to her family, her friends and her faith. She lived a servant’s life and modeled a servant’s heart. She loved on people with hugs, kisses, smiles and baked goods. She called her friends and family often and loved having long conversations. When she couldn’t get you on the phone her voicemails always ended with “call me if you feel like it! — knowing that everyone would return her calls.
Linda loved the sun, summer-time and the water. She traveled as often as possible to see her “sweet, baby girl” (granddaughter) Emma --spending her last summer poolside in New Jersey with a good library book and her favorite Starbucks cup.
Linda joined Oakwood Baptist Church in 1988 and was a faithful and active member serving in many ways on the Social and Funeral Committees; as Sunday School Group Leader; and helped many as Divorce Care Ministry Leader. She regularly volunteered for Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity, serving on the Hard Hat and High Heels Gala and the Power of the Purse committees. The desire to help others was central to Linda’s heart.
When Linda wasn’t volunteering, she was a dedicated employee. Linda worked as a medical biller and retired from Mid-America Cardiology in 2012, only to return to work, part-time, at Independence Surgical Center until 2018. In 2018, she officially retired from her professional career to care for her great-great niece, Blakely, during the day.
