Mary Ruth Hall, 83 of Kansas City, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living in Overland Park, KS. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Wesleyan Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, KS 66224. Burial will follow in Belton Cemetery in Belton, MO. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Flowers may be sent in care of the Speaks Suburban Chapel and donations may be made to the Catholic Community Hospice 9740 W. 87th St Overland Park, KS 66212. Mary was born March 11, 1930 in Iola, KS to Edgar and Anna Belle (Clark) Lane. She had worked for 23 years as a cook for the Kansas City Missouri School District until she retired in 1992. She enjoyed cooking, baking and most of all spending time with family. She was married to James E. Hall who preceded her in death in 2008. Survivors include; a daughter, Cheryl Wylde and husband Lester of Harrisonville, MO; a son, James C. Hall and his wife Caren of Stilwell, KS; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
