Betty Hamilton

Betty L. Hamilton, 79, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, July 19th 2013.Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 26th @ Carson-Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27th at Carson Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave Independence. Burial will be at Mt. Washington Cemetery, Independence.
Betty was born December 4th 1933 in Deepwater, MO to William and Agnes D. (Asher) Glass. She married Lloyd Hamilton in 1979 and spent twenty years together. Miss. Betty enjoyed being a Mail Clerk for the VFW for the twelve years most, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for almost thirty years. She enjoyed books, movies, and city events like Santa cali-gon. She is loved and will be dearly missed.
Miss. Betty is survived by her daughter, Melissa Coleman and husband Charlie of Rio Vista, CA; son, Ernest L. Cornell and wife JoAnn of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Kaela Michelle Koepke; and grandson, Shawn C. Cornell. She was preceded in death by husband Lloyd; daughter, Marcia D. Monirzad; and sister, Virginia Barnes.
