Leroy Hamilton

Leroy Hamilton, Sr. 77 of Grain Valley, MO passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at St. Luke’s East Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial to follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Leroy was born July 29, 1944 in Neodesha, KS to Lloyd and Juanita (Halbour) Hamilton and has been a longtime area resident. He owned and operated Leroy’s Frame Works in Independence from 1963 to the present and was well know as a true craftsman at his trade. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and all kinds of outdoor motorsports in his younger days. He was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was married to Helen R. (Book) on June 1, 1963, and enjoyed 45 years together before she passed away on April 3, 2008. Survivors include: a daughter, Stacy Worley and husband Bruce of Independence, MO; a son Leroy “Junior” Hamilton of Independence, MO; 2 grandchildren, Ian Worley and Christian Hamilton, a brother and 4 sisters.
