Sherry Hammond, 40, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018. A service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. The family will greet guests from 1-2pm at the chapel that afternoon. Interment will take place at Blue Springs Cemetery.
Sherry was born and raised in Independence, MO. She attended Sycamore Hills Elementary, Bridger Junior High and graduated from Truman High School in 1996. She also received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from CMSU.
Sherry is survived by her parents Doug and Yuko Hammond; brother Doug Hammond; nieces Ashley, Hailey, Madisen; nephew Galen; two aunts Beverly and Keiko; and cousins Pam and Scott.
She was preceded in death by her nephew Michael.
