Ryan Hampel, 3, of Independence, MO passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. A visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd, Independence, MO, 64055. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Ryan was born on October 1, 2013 in Lee’s Summit, MO to Matthew and Jaime (Murdock) Hampel. She attended Small Wonders Preschool at St. Mark’s Catholic Church and loved going to school. She lit up the hallways when she walked in with her crazy hair, beautiful smile and infectious giggle. She loved wearing boots, all Disney Princesses, Minnie Mouse, and zebras “zeebs”. Most of all she loved her two sisters. Ryan was only here a short time but she made a huge impact in many hearts.
She will always be remembered by her mother Jaime Hampel of the home; father Matt Hampel of Kansas City, MO; sisters Emma Louise and Paige Olivia of the home; grandmother Lynnette Murdock; aunt Lyndsey Murdock; grandfather Tim Hampel; and grandmother Sue Wagner.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Small Wonders Preschool c/o St. Mark’s or Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Ryan was an organ donor and has already saved many lives.
