Ralph Madison Hancock, 78, of Americus, GA and formerly of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004. Services, with Masonic Rites, will be 2 pm Thursday, May 27th at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Magnolia Manor Mattie Marshall Center, 2001 S. Lee St. Americus, GA 31709. Ralph was born August 16, 1925 in Jackson County, MO to Milton Vernon Hancock II and Sevonia Morrie Young Hancock. He was retired from the US Navy after 38 years. He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association; Ararat Shrine Temple; a 50 year member of Mt. Washington Masonic Lodge #614; Past Patron Eastern Star #423, and a member of Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church. Ralph was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Alice Hancock, and a brother, Milton Vernon Hancock III. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frankie Mae Hancock of Americus, GA; son, Bill Hancock and wife Carolyn of Americus, GA; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, William Morrie Hancock of Germantown, MD.
