David Hand

David Hand, 60, born in Burlington, IA on September 20, 1955, was called home while surrounded by his loving family on January 16, 2016. A celebration of his life will be on Tuesday January, 19, 2016 from 5-9:00 p.m. at The Peanut, Lees Summit, MO. His love of family, football, music and carpentry was an inspiration to all and he never met a stranger. He had a story that would entertain all who listened. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He loved to laugh, garden, spend time with family and friends, hunt, carve, watch the Chicago Bears, and more than anything, play his guitar (one man band). He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Cindy Hand. Also by his children Wayann of Burlington, IA, Tyler of Raytown, MO, Todd and wife Stephanie of Austin, TX, Travis and wife Jennifer of Raytown, MO; 6 grandchildren Trinity, Madison, Benjamin, Austen, Liviyah and Aubrey; a brother Craig Hand and wife Sherrie of Belton, MO; Hand nephews Cody, Jacob and Caden; aunt Sharon Caldwell of Burlington, IA; Cory, Casey, and Carrie Caldwell.
