Verona L. Hanson

Verona L. Hanson, 84, of Independence, MO passed away, Monday, December 1, 2003 at home. Visitation will be 7-8:30 Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be 10:00 am Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Center Place Restoration School, 819 W. Waldo Ave, Independence, MO 64050 or to Crossroads Hospice, 8540 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138. Verona was born November 24, 1919 in Delta, Colorado to Benjamin and Gladys (Hubbard) Bunten. Mrs. Hanson is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leonard E. Hanson of the home; sons Robert E. Hanson (Diane) and Gary L. Hanson (Essie); 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother Laurie Bunten (Donna) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Hale and Keith Bunten.
