George Hardcastle

George David Hardcastle, 69, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice. George was born September 29, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Ray and Hazel (Nettleton) Hardcastle. He graduated from East High School in 1956 and was employed by AT&T for 33 years before retiring in 1989. Mr. Hardcastle was an avid athlete and instructed his children and grandchildren in their many sports. George is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pauline “Polly” (Mitchell) Hardcastle; children Jennifer Weber and fiance’ Berry Jennings, Lara Maple and husband Clint, son Kirk Hardcastle and wife Karen; five grandchildren David and Patrick Weber, Allison and Alec Maple, Madelyn Hardcastle; a sister Joan Benson and husband Guy.
