Pamela Diane Harmon, age 62, passed peacefully in Independence, MO on January 2, 2023.
Born on November 30, 1960 to proud parents Russell and Peggy Harmon, Pam was raised in Independence, MO with her sisters Penny and Paula as well as her younger brother Jeffrey. Pam graduated from Raytown High School and became a travel agent as well as everyone’s favorite local bartender.
Pam is survived by her loyal, long-time partner of sixteen years, Jim Fohey and her furry baby, Walter. Additional survivors include her loving mother Peggy Harmon of Warsaw, MO, sister Penny McKinney of Raytown MO, her brother Jeff Harmon of Lee’s summit, MO and sister Paula Eickhoff of Independence, MO. Several nieces and nephews will continue to honor their aunt’s legacy in the years to come, as well as a host of friends who were Pam’s chosen family.
Pam was preceded in death by her deeply missed father, Russell Harmon.
Pam was a dedicated Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching football with friends and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. She loved animals and animals loved her. Known as the “Cool One” and “Whammy,” Pam lived a life that was vast, wide and wild.
A visitation will be held on January 14th at 10 am followed by a memorial at 11am: Speaks Suburban Chapel at 18020 E 39th street Independence, MO.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 4, 2023 at Hopewell Freewill Baptist Church in Tunas, MO; 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations in Pam’s memory be made directly to Unit 2 South at The Groves Rosewood Building, a treatment program for women living with dementia that gave exceptional care to their ever-loved Pam.
