Jade Brian Harms, 21, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 29 at Noland Road Baptist Church, 4505 S. Noland Rd., Independence, MO. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5-8:00 PM Thursday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 17200 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Jade was born June 21, 1989 in Kansas City, MO to David and Sandra (Cordry) Harms. He attended Truman High School and was working towards a degree in computer networking at ITT Tech. An avid sports fan, Jade loved football, basketball, and billiards. Jade had a smile that could light up a room and never met anyone he didn’t like. His search for the truth in politics and religion led to a brave, optimistic, and generous nature that will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jade was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Mary Ellen Harms in 2009. He is survived by his parents, David and Sandra Harms; brothers Jacob Cordry and Jewlian Cordry; paternal grandfather Louis Harms; maternal grandmother Connie Cordry; girlfriend Cherie Davila; and host of extended family and many friends.
