Kenneth, Paul Harper, 85 of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Homestead of Olathe. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Saturday at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to the KU Cancer Center. Ken was born on April 23, 1935 in Harper, MO to Robert Otha and Eula (Wood) Harper, MO and spent his early life on a farm. He had worked in the water well drilling field and retired as a foreman. He was a very active member of the Kansas City Baptist Temple now GraceWay Baptist. He is survived by; his loving wife, Marolyn V. (Estep) of the home; a son, Steve Harper and his four legged companion Cooper of Lee’s Summit, MO; a daughter, Vernita Reid of Kansas City, MO; former daughter-in-law, Roxie Harper; 2 grandchildren, Megan and Daniel and 3 great grandchildren, Bentley, Tenley and Hailey.
