Harriet Maxine McVicker

Harriett (Morse) McVicker, 95, Independence, MO passed away Jan. 13,2025.  

Harriett was born May 9, 1929 in Mason City, Iowa and lived on a farm most of her life. She lived in Hampton, IA, in Polo, MO, and Independence MO. She loved to cook, sew, and play games.  

Harriett was preceded in death by Husband David Hugh McVicker, daughter Lori Lea Leonard, one sister and six brothers. She is survived by sons Michael David McVicker, Chillicothe, MO; Gary Hugh McVicker and wife Karen, Hampton, IA; daughter Susan Chow and husband Lindsey; Son-in-law Ron Leonard, all of Independence, MO; brother Bill Morse and wife Cheryl McKinney, TX; grandchildren Jason, Bruce, Holly, Kevin, Chad, Chrystal and Scott; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Church of Christ Special Ministries, located at 1706 S. Northern Blvd., Independence, Missouri, 64052.
