Georgia Harrington

March 28, 1923 — May 10, 2005

Georgia "Lea� Harrington, 82, of Independence passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 10, 2005. Services are 10:00 am Friday, May 13, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, followed by burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation 7:00 - 8:30 pm Thursday at the Chapel. Lea was born March 28, 1923 in Marshall, MO to Harry H. Williams and Pearl Hutton Williams She was a member of Walnut Park Congregation. Her greatest passion in life were that of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Lea was always there to welcome new members to the family with a hand crochet blanket. She never missed a family celebration and never forgot that special gift for each and every member. Lea was the strength of the family with her endurance and never ending stamina. Georgia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Gomer "Wally� Harrington in 1998, a son Russell Harrington, grand daughters Jennifer Kay Evans, and Melissa Dawn Butcher. Survivors in include her daughters, Linda (Paul) Nuckles of Grain Valley, Sharon (Warren) Evans of Sibley, Patty (Wesley) Smith of Indep., Pamela (Fred) Johnson also of Indep., and Edna Harrington of Garden City, MO. Other survivors include twin sister Mary Pixley , sister Lorene Jennings, and sister Nellie Caswell, 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 1 great great grand daughter.
