Aliyah Lynette Harris

Aliyah Lynette Harris, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was 10 years of age.

Aliyah was born on May 25, 2012, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Stephanie Lima and Anthony Harris. Aliyah attended Sycamore Hills Elementary School and had just completed the 4th grade.

Aliyah was a bubbly and energetic soul that loved to perform. She would make up her own interpretive dances to songs and she loved to sing. She would put on a show anywhere she went. Aliyah had a smile and laugh that could change the energy of a room. You could always count on her to lend a helping and loving hand. In her final days she showed how much of a fighter and warrior she truly was. In the short time we had her here she made such an impact on everyone in her life. Aliyah will forever live on in the hearts of the many people she touched.

Aliyah is survived by her mother, Stephanie Lima; father, Anthony Harris; siblings, Jordan Harris, Jasmine Ulberg-Harris, Antwain Harris; additional siblings; maternal grandfather, Sam Lima; paternal grandmother, Pamela Harris; aunt, Cherilyn (Cedric Gooch) Bouman; uncle, Deont’e (Tamika Dale) Harris; cousins, Kayleena (Amanda) Love; Kameryn Parker, CJ Gooch, Jameson Love, Elijah Carr, Winnie Love, Deont’e Harris Jr. and D’aire Harris as well as many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Carlene Lima.
