Barbara Ann Harris

Barbara Ann Harris, 56, of Independence, MO passed away on May 12, 2005 at the Regency Care Center. A visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, at the chapel with burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Barbara was born in Northville, MI on February 15, 1949 to James Richard and Mary Bessie Gatlin. She was married to Clarence M. Harris on September 24, 1966 at Bales Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Mary Lou, James, Lillus and Art. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Julie A. Greenawalt; 4 siblings, Martha, John, David and Mollie; in-laws, Bob, Carol and Ann; granddaughters, Mikayla Renee, Rachel Elizabeth and Katie Lee Ann; son-in-law, Robert D. Greenawalt; and a host of nephews and nieces.
