Stephen Harris

Steve “Z” Harris, 51, of Independence, MO passed on to a better place Sunday, July 27, 2014. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1, at the chapel with burial to follow at Salem Cemetery. Steve was born April 14, 1963 in Gladewater, TX. He loved to spend time with his family at the lake, outdoors, fishing, hunting and watching the grandkids play soccer. Steve was the owner of Z-n-L Construction. He will be remembered for being a loving husband, dad, papa and son. He was preceded in death by his dad, Bill Galloway. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Beal) Harris; parents, Ida and Richard Romo; seven children; ten grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister. He loved and was loved by all.
