Michael was born December 8, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri to Michael Hart and Carmen Thompson. Attending and graduating from Truman High School in 2014. Michael was an old soul and loved old R&B, especially the Temptations. He was an outrageous flirt, which put a smile on everyone’s face. Michael was so very kind and did his best to make everyone have a great day. He loved to watch the sunset and could often be found behind the camera lens taking great shots of the serenity of sky. When Michael was 17, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, no matter how much pain he would be in he always put other people first, his heart was happy when others were. Michael became a huge advocate for others that have been diagnosed with epilepsy, doing everything he could to bring awareness to help the cause. He loved purple anything, purple being the color of the epilepsy awareness ribbon, he wore it proud, not letting it define him but making him stronger. We will miss him terribly, a space in our hearts that can never possibly be filled by the loss of someone so wonderful, but always knowing we can always look at the sky and await the beautiful sunset and know he is with us. May we take a page out of Michael’s book and lead with kindness, rejoice with happiness and never let our obstacles define us. Michael had a warrior spirit that was filled with so much kindness, may we strive to have the same.
