Geraldine A. “Jerri” Harter, 98, Independence, MO died March 9, 2017. Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 14 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO; visitation will begin at 9 am, before the service at the chapel; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Jerri was born Sept. 18, 1918 in Kansas City, MO and attended Northeast High School. She was a member of Sycamore Hills Baptist Church where she sang in a church chorus. She enjoyed working with ceramics, wood carving, sewing and especially loved tending her flower gardens.
Jerri was preceded in death by husbands Criss Rolls and Edwin Harter, Sr., son David Rolls, step-daughter Patsy Paschall, son-in-law Lonnie Clements, brother William Hurt and sister Doris Hurt. She is survived by daughter Carol Clements, Flippin, AR; step-daughter Doris Clubb and husband Charley, Independence, MO; step-sons Edwin Harter, Jr., Warsaw, MO; David Harter, Independence, MO; Larry Harter, Warsaw, MO; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
