Helen Analee Harvey, 67, of Independence, MO, peacefully passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007 at her home after a courageous battle of lung cancer with her loving family by her side. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in the chapel. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Helen was born January 19, 1940 in Buffalo, MO to Lee Roy and Grace Bernice (Arnold) Stark and moved to Independence at a young age. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. Helen was active in the Golden Spurs and Osage Rough Riders saddle clubs. She is survived by her mother Grace Stark; son Richard Dale Harvey; daughter Lisa Kay Harvey; granddaughter Nicole Harvey. Ms. Harvey was preceded in death by her father Lee Roy Stark; brother Charles Kilgore. Helen also leaves to cherish her memory many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother and caring friend. Family and friends were first and foremost in her life. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
