Waco Havner, 80, Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014.
Waco was born September 27, 1933 near Danville, Arkansas the son of Lee and Jewell (Damon) Havner. He retired as a maintenance carpenter from Hallmark after 39 years. Waco enjoyed playing the fiddle, and was a skilled woodworker and cabinet maker. He was a loyal contributor to the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his sons, James Robert Havner and wife Melinda, Steve Hammontree and wife Dana; grandchildren, Sean Hammontree and wife Tiffany, and Caitlin Sanders and husband Chase; five great grandchildren; sister, Hazel Ferguson; brothers, Kenneth, Warren, and Floyd Havner; and numerous nieces, nephews and family. He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Havner in 2006 and his parents.
Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
