Kenneth F. Hayner

Kenneth Francis Hayner, 79 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the church. Ken was born March 4, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to Roy and Catherine (Junge) Hayner and has been a long time area resident graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1956. He proudly served in the US Army from 1956-58. He had worked for AT&T for over 30 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers Club. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Survivors include: 4 children, Keith Hayner and wife Angie, Kevin Hayner, Linda Saultz and husband Robert and Kim Ratliff and husband Kirk; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
